We're proud to unveil our new Social Vibe page! We've partnered with them so we can reach the next level of fund raising. With Social Vibe's help, we can now raise money for charity by using brand sponsorship. So YOU don't have to make a financial donation, all ya have to do is sign up at Socialvibe.com, add MYF as a partner cause, then choose a brand, and post the little widget on your myspace, or facebook or whatever. The more people that see your little widget, the more money is raised for MYF! Get it? The sponsors like it when people view their logo or video etc, and they're willing to PAY for that privilege. In this case, their PAYMENT is a donation to MYF.
Right now we're running a very specific campaign where we're raising money to buy bikes for those in need in Africa. Most of us don't think about it because we take for granted the fact that we can buy a bike or use a car. But in Africa where simply going to a well to get WATER can be a challenge, having a bike makes a huge difference. Go over to Social Vibe and check out our MYF page and the contest we're currently running. You could win a hand-numbered, exclusive, autographed lithograph from the Light Grenades Tour.
As of today there are 62 days remaining for us to hit our goal of $13,400!
Go forth MYF'ers, make a difference!

Republican politicians and conservative activists are launching a ballot campaign to suspend California's landmark global-warming law, in what they hope will serve as a showcase for a national backlash against climate regulations.
Supporters say they have "solid commitments" of nearly $600,000 to pay signature gatherers for a November initiative aimed at delaying curbs on the greenhouse gas emissions of power plants and factories until the state's unemployment rate drops.
Communicating why biodiversity loss matters for people is essential for reversing it.
The failed UN climate talks in Copenhagen in December could hardly have been a less promising prelude to the International Year of Biodiversity, which opened last month (January).
As with climate change, the threat of large-scale biodiversity loss — and the need for global political action to stop it — is growing every day.
