Make Yourself Foundation (Incubus)

Brandon and Ben were on hand to accept the "Keepers of the Coast" award from the Surfrider Foundation's Awards ceremony this past weekend. Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 was the host.

Special appearances came from Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro under the band moniker "Camp Freddy." They busted out some old school Jane's Addiction tunes and the crowd ate it up!

Awards were also handed out to Pearl Jam (the band wasn't able to attend) and David Chokachi.

The award ceremony/party was held at the CA Science Center’s Wallis Annenberg Building; a very spacious, modern room consisting mostly of steel construction and trees growing inside.

Hy everybody, like miss. Shenna Harris had said that they are the greatest band ever,I totally agree with her! I am from Europe, from a state called Croatia and I've been listening to this band and an very intelectual artist Brandon Boyd since my 12 years and they are truly an inspiration for me! My state is very capitalistic and there are so many hungry people what makes me mad, cause when I'm walking to the college I see many richless people on the street and my goverment only thinks about how they are going to make money for their own budget, soo fuckin said! But I forget about this tings when I saw such a good and cheerfull akt from Incubus,if only the RICH PEOPLE COULD UNDERSTAND THIS!!!

New Report Offers Little Hope for International Climate Agreement

It's the big pink elephant in the room that few others wish to acknowledge, but a central theme in a new report by former climate negotiator Nigel Purvis: An international climate change treaty isn't likely to be signed anytime soon. Purvis served as president Clinton's chief UN climate negotiator, and in his report released today Purvis says that the United States and Europe should "accept reality" and take immediate practical steps to deal with global warming.

EPA defends plan to regulate Greenhouse gas emissions

The Environmental Protection Agency chief fought back on Monday against Senate attempts to challenge the agency's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, saying delaying action would be bad for the economy. President Barack Obama has long said the EPA would take steps to regulate greenhouse gases if Congress failed to pass climate legislation. The bill faces an uncertain future in the Senate amid opposition from fossil fuel-rich states.
