I'm a bit of an odd ball to be honest (but then who isnt i guess?) I love both art and science equally. I paint and draw for pleasure and I'm currently studying Marine Biology with the Open University. I love animals and the environment, I'm lucky that not far from where I live is a wetlands wildlife reserve filled with lots of interesting plants and animals. I'm going back to university full-time in september to study Wildlife Conservation at Oxford Brookes.

I enjoy reading, laughing, clubbing, eating, wallowing around in the bath, drinking, smoking, showering, sleeping, swimming in the sea (i'm gonna learn to surf soon!), meeting new people from all walks of life and cultures, I want to know what you're thinking, right now! :P

Favourite books include Terry Pratchett's Discworld Series, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying and The Art of Happiness.

England is nasty to me.




i've lived in England before, in Bradford, which was basically another newport just 250 miles north and bristol which was ok because it's very multi-cultural and just a bit weird in general which i like.





Stratford-upon-avon however is nasty.

Aloha from my nestlement over here in the western mountains- I'm doing oh so very well. Currently writing some new songs with the band, pumpin' out tons of paintings and photography lately, and more recently, kickin it in the garden. meticulousness aside, all is well. : ) and how are you?

I analyz stocks and sales for the trade, making CEO reports on a daily basis and cutoffs name the report and my boss would just hell out of me and ask for it. nice to hear that frm you atleast you had fun anyway just always take some rest once in awhile and not just work, i just read ur posted blog dated april 15 and that aint good I just hope you'll have what you need and hope that I can help you in a smallest way possible. just dont give up and the rest will follow... as for me, nothing much I dont have work on fridays and saturday so I just stay at home whole day and not go out unless needed but during work days..men! you wont belive, i always get deadlines every hour just to give my boss the report and the analysis he needs.

First-of-Its-Kind Map Details the Height of the Globe's Forests

ScienceDaily (July 21, 2010) — Using NASA satellite data, scientists have produced a first-of-its kind map that details the height of the world's forests. Although there are other local- and regional-scale forest canopy maps, the new map is the first that spans the entire globe based on one uniform method.

Climate bill in doubt as Democrats delay action

U.S. Senate Democrats said on Thursday they will wait until September at the earliest to take up broad climate-change legislation, a potentially fatal blow to the White House push to curb greenhouse gases. The delay means Democrats have little time to advance the complex legislation amid intense political pressure in the weeks before November congressional elections. It also could derail global climate change initiatives, as the world's major economies and greenhouse gas emitters insist the United States play a leading role.
