EBay users: here's a new way to give!
Many fans have asked how they can donate to MYF. Most of you already know that royalties from Incubus' bootleg CDs go to MYF, as do 100 percent of our EBAY auctions. Well, we've now opened up a new way for fans to donate: anytime you decide to auction stuff on Ebay, you can select The Make Yourself Foundation as a recipient (any percentage you want) of the final cost. Go to missionfish.org to find out how to register your Ebay account to be able to donate a portion of the final price of your item to MYF!
To start:
1. Visit www.MissionFish.org
2. Get registered
3. Choose an item to sell
4. Write an item title and description
5. List your item through MissionFish and indicate that it will
benefit Incubus' The Make Yourself Foundation
6. Complete your transaction- MissionFish collects your donation
and passes it on to MYF.

Wind Turbines might actually add to warming
A new paper suggests that wind turbines, installed broadly, might actually change the climate themselves just by disrupting the normal flow of the wind: In a paper published online Feb. 22 in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, [the MIT researchers] Wang and Prinn suggest that using wind turbines to meet 10 percent of global energy demand in 2100 could cause temperatures to rise by one degree Celsius in the regions on land where the wind farms are installed, including a smaller increase in areas beyond those regions. The Carnegie Institution of Science released a new study this week finding that one-third of the carbon dioxide emissions developed countries release into the atmosphere result from goods and services produced outside their borders. The report’s details are troubling: Carnegie’s researchers estimate that 2.5 tons of CO2 per person are consumed in the United States but are produced elsewhere, and that figure spikes to 4 tons per European.
