Definately going to check out Red Rocks! (and eat waffles at the same time just cos i can lol)
Caramelised banana and creamed maple syrup!?!? AWESOME!!
I'm stoked when i get new food to try :oD

Haha yeah about the actors in the crowd, the thing productions like that never think of is that they wouldnt need the actors... or to pay anyone for that matter - Just hold a competition for real fans to sit that close?!
Come to think of it, I actually havnt heard of actors being used in any jobs for a lonnnng time (thank christ).

WOW!!!! See ....when i watch Morning view i am so transfixed by Brandon and the lads that i barely take notice of the crowd. I remember 1 guy singing alone to pardon me but that's about it. When they do 'Just a phase' i replay the beginning over and over and over. Could listen to that vocal gymnastics all day :)
Alexia those waffles sound awesome. Will give them a try next time i have the time and energy to be creative ;) shame about the home sickness & yes.... Alive at red rocks is awesome as well.. but are they ever shit ?? :)

Mmmmm waffles.... the ones I had last time had caramelised banana and creamed maple syrup..delish!

Australia day...I spent working, I wore green and gold ribbons in my hair though haha I felt home sick all day though :(

You have to see Alive at Red Rocks though Sam, I love the encore...brilliant!

haha will do!
If i make some i'll fedex a few across to you :oP lol
BTW - Morning view sessions was pretty good :0) .. i just cant get past the paid actors in the crowd (sitting well placed behind Brandon, and subtly lit up more than the rest of the crowd) lol, and theres some chick kneeling just behind him doing some weird seemingly possessed bopping dance haha --> working with sony a fair bit makes me a bit of a critic lol
But for the real stuff, the music was good (for some reason i accept and connect with that particular stage of their development)
in summary, pro's and con's together - I loved it :o)

Typical Aus day for us here.... we worked as per usual and man was it hot. As for the desk drumming i hope you don't work in close proximity to many other ppl they might not get into it as much as you do.
How was your Aus day?? Surf?? And i like waffles too.... best with peanut butter and honey :)
Sam Clarke Comment by Sam Clarke on January 26, 2010 at 7:26pm
Haha yes, but i like waffles :OP
I know what you mean though, there's something ancient and powerfull about drums that draws you in. im constantly trying to STOP myself from drumming on my desk lol.

How was everyones Australia day? What did you get upto?

Salt and Smog

The smell of sea salt at the beach is a pleasant thought for many beach goers. Wind and waves kick up spray sending salt (sodium chloride into the air. Most salt of this sort falls back into the sea or nearby beach. The bit of chloride lingering in the air can react with nitrogen oxides (NOx) to form nitryl chloride which is a forerunner of chlorine gas, the most reactive form of chlorine. Those gas can contribute to smog formation in coastal areas. However, in a surprise, researchers have found that this air chemistry thought to be restricted to sea spray occurs at similar rates in the air above Boulder, Colorado which is nearly 900 miles away from any ocean. What's more, local air quality measurements taken in a number of national parks across the United States imply similar conditions in or near other non-coastal metropolitan areas.

California Caps SF6 Emissions for Utilities

The California Air Resources Board recently announced that they will begin monitoring and limiting the emissions of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) in high-voltage electrical equipment starting in 2011. SF6 is the most potent of all greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change. SF6 is approximately 23,900 times as potent as carbon dioxide, the world’s most prevalent greenhouse gas, at trapping heat in the atmosphere.
