Make Yourself Foundation (Incubus)

My favorite song would have to be, "Echo".
This song just really hits me (in a good way, lol).

When I listen to it, I feel all of these pent up emotions coming out of me.

And that, my friends, is the power of music.

I know this sounds really corny, but it's true.

Anyway, what's your favorite song?

I also picked my favorite song from each of their albums:

Fungus Amongus: Psychopsilocybin
Enjoy Incubus: Shaft
S.C.I.E.N.C.E.: Glass
Make Yourself: Stellar
When Incubus Attacks! VOL. 1: Pardon Me (Acoustic)
Morning View: Echo
A Crow Left of the Murder...: Agoraphobia
Light Grenades: Paper Shoes
Look Alive: Look Alive
Monuments and Melodies: Let's Go Crazy (Prince Cover)

lol, make yourself is deff. one of my favs. I was really happy they performed it at the MD show :)
i love so many... but if i had to pick 1 it would be Warning
Pantomime (new version on M&M) - Definately amazing.

Crow Left of the Murder (Love this song never heard it live - Yet!)

Anyone hear the acoustic great version of Dig they have been doing on the M&M tour??? BETTER than the original. I'm not a huge fan of Dig but love this version.
That acoustic version is absolutely amazing! I just stood there in awe and took it all in.

I love blood on the ground, but probably just a phase. ..there are really too many to choose. I was so excited and surprised they played just a phase in Atlanta

Curse, Agoraphobia!! I LOVE that song... Brandon's voice becomes more sexy! The Morning View album is so refreshing, I mean, it's so perfect! Pure art as always.. ! And what u think about Follow!? I think that is so great song, with the violins sounds and then the drums, Boom!! WOW...
My favorite is Warning
I'm not sure I can pick just one. I love so many of their songs, but I will say, at the moment, I can't seem to get enough of Paper Shoes.
Would have to be Stellar.. Love the way that song makes me feel! Second would be Warning, and just saw their concert in Austin and they didnt play it :( but at least i got to hear stellar. Badass concert they really know how to put on a show, I could have stayed there all night even though I could barely breathe!
As everyone would agree, I'm sure- It's so hard to pick a favorite. It's amazing how THIS band writes, plays, seem to be .... It's amazing that even if I get a certain meaning from a song, it may not be anywhere close to what idea came to mind when writing it. I'd like to think that what is written is what I get from it-it makes me feel so much more unisolated. I am so glad they continue on. I want to buy Brandons books, I hope to be able to donate to the causes they put together into this one. OK onto a few of the songs that I love .....

I Wish you were here ---- I love the visualation of the words
The Warmth --- I try so hard to feel the warmth, it seems to come, but then the reality that most people just don't get that we really do need each other never seems to come.
Warning --- has many meanings to me
Stellar----When I hear or think about it, I could swear it was written by me to a man I know that is so unique and so beautiful inside and out, I truly love him for who he is-he understands me as I understand him, but I know in my heart that we will never be. Most of the poetry I've written is about him.

Ok enough for now I'm beginning to get sad
I've thought about this before and I honestly cannot come up with a favorite. Their music straddles too many styles and genres to settle on just one song as a prominent favorite. There's a song that compliments every and any mood I may be in. I really like the funkiness of their earlier stuff because I love hearing and actually feeling the bass when listening to music, but I also like the mellow rawness of their Morning View album, and of course the more slap-across-the-face feeling i get when listening to Light Grenades... but in a good way. I love how they write lyrics and music in the moment and don't attempt to target a particular sound; they evolve. Whether it may stand out in an obvious way or not, there is something special about each song they've written and because they have such variety in their music, their songs are incomparable to each other when trying to choose a favorite. When they are themselves, they can do no wrong music-wise. There is not one song of theirs I don't like. I could probably rant on about how amazing and diverse Incubus' music is but I think I've written enough for this post haha.
WOW...do i only have to choose one?? Damn, can't really say one overall...i can give my favs from each album i have...
Fungus Amongus: Sink Beneath the Line, S.C.I.E.N.C.E.: Redefine, Make Yourself: the whole damn cd but if i had to pick one it'll be When It Comes or Clean, Morning View: Circles or Blood On The Ground & Warning, ACLOTM: PISTOLA (great effing song) Light Grenades: Oil & Water, Dig & both Earth to Bellas, Monuments & Melodies: Pantomime & Admiration, When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1: Pardon Me(acoustic) When Incubus Attacks Vol. 2: The Warmth, When It Comes, & Redefine Drive CD Single: Pardon Me(live), Clean(live)
WOW...told ya couldn't pick just one!! hahahaha!! ;) i didn't even do the DVD's!! lol...
I have several favorites... I think Drive is my all time favorite. It really spoke to me during a time in my life when everything was changing and I didn't feel like I had a lot of control. But I absolutely adore Crowded Elevator and Pantomime. And I like to listen to Blood on the Ground when I'm mad.
Every time I pick up an old CD and listen to it again, I ended up with another favorite. They are such a talented group of artists... just can't wait for more music from them
