Saving an architectural gem overlooking a surface coal mine

Hello fellow Incubus fans!

When I first came to this site, I thought about what cause I could promote, and came across a beautiful Baroque chateau in my homeland, the Czech Republic, called Jezeri. It is an exquisite piece of architecture, which had been deliberately left to fall into disrepair by our previous regime, because there were large coal deposits found in its vicinity. Fortunately the chateau was saved from this fate, put on a "cultural heritage valuables" list and is now being repaired (however, it takes a hell of a lot of time, because the building is huge and funds not so easily raised).

So I thought I'd raise awareness of this place in the English speaking world. Then I found out the chateau's website wasn't in English, so I'm translating it for them (for free, of course), and now that at least some parts of the translation are online, I can tell you about this great place.

Of course, most of you will be from the States, but if you planned a journey to Europe, or if you are of the European Incubus fans and fancy a trip to the Czech lands (it's not that far from Prague, really, just about 150 km ;), go there. You'll probably find you've fallen in love with the place at first sight. And it's a sight taken from a sci-fi movie of sorts. There's nothing quite like it. And if you manage to see the place, and fall in love with it, tell others about it.
