ATLANTA -- We don't normally write news stories in first person but Leo's story almost demands it. I feel the need to share how this came about.
I got an e-mail from an old friend of mine, Jean Murphy. She is a bit of an odds defeater herself, having survived both breast and lung cancer. She also loves music and she heads up the Atlanta chapter of Rock Against Cancer, a non profit group dedicated to providing music therapy to children battling cancer.
wow..i can barely contain my tears.. knowing what it is like for someone to go through a battle with cancer this story really touched me..i watched it happen to my mom at a very young age... i cant bare to think of all the children out there that battle it as well.. i know it is the smallest things in life that truly heal and bring joy. and i wish more people would realize the impact you can make on other people wether they are sick or well even if its just a once in a life time you meet them..Music and love and energy are a cure to so much we seem to suffer from.. and if not a cure..then sometimes just a moment of relief from the pain.. it warms my heart to know about all these great organizations out there that help spread the love to those kids dealing with cancer.
I know!! That is the reason I love INCUBUS!! Brandon's voice is just....tantalizing. Music is a big part of my life, especially INCUBUS...they have gotten me thru a lot...i sit back with my ipod and straight to incubus...i am in mental paradise...Brandon has such a beautiful mind...i can write a damn novel on how i feel about INCUBUS!! hahahaha!! ;)
